Ms. Rimona's class
This week in UOI:-
We unpacked the unit of inquiry “Simple machines”.
Students were involved in hands-on learning. They understood that work involves action and requires force to move an object.
They took challenges to move heavy objects and understood that work can be done by using less force and created an inclined plane (slide).
This week in Literacy:-
We read a book on fiction and non-fiction and sorted the difference between the two in a Venn diagram.
This week in math:-
Introduction to subtraction:-
Students enjoyed listening to the story Pete the cat and his 4 groovy buttons and made connections.
Show and tell:-
Students continue to bring show and tell related to the unit to build the machine center.
