Literacy-
Students created words and sentences using different manipulatives.
Reading the non-fiction books.
Numeracy-
Playing games, watching videos and reading books related to math.
Skip counting of 2's, 5's and 10's.
Reading a bar graph and interpreting.
Ms.Ketaki’s class-
This week, we concentrated on non-fiction texts. We looked at topics we would like to gain information from. saw the difference between a fiction and a non-fiction text. We further inquired about the elements of a non-fiction text such as contents, glossary and index. We understood the concept between a diagram and a label and illustrated few examples of people who read/watch non-fiction texts at home.
With UOI, how the world works, we have been brainstorming on what "work" means to us. They made their own definitions. They took a tour around school and observed who all were walking, played some work related relays, made connections with jobs in the classrooms and played situational tasks based on what force was applied, what moved and if it was work or no.
In Math, we have been revising concepts done from before such as time. It has been an eventful week...
